After Testing 11 Ninja Blenders, These Are Our Top Picks (2025)

Our team of kitchen appliance experts have tested well over 100 of the best blenders in the past two decades, testing more than 50 blenders in the last two years alone. This included personal blenders, hand blenders and blender-food processor combos; no blender went untested. In this round, we tested over 11 Ninja blender models and even put them up against Vitamix blenders to determine which stands out between Ninja vs. Vitamix. We've also tested numerous other Ninja products like the Ninja Creami, Ninja Max XL Air Fryer and more.

We were impressed with the Ninja TWISTI Blender Duo in our Lab testing. It produced an ultra-creamy and fluffy margarita and super-smooth peanut butter. What really stood out to us was the 34-ounce power pitcher which has a built-in tamper and a blade that gets screwed on at the bottom.

After the first two minutes of blending peanut butter, we used the built-in tamper to spin around the peanuts that were at the top. The result was a smooth peanut butter that was easily pourable, perfect for topping an ice cream sundae or your morning oatmeal.

It features a helpful timer to keep track of your blending process and five presets. While the main pitcher is smaller than other full-sized Ninja blenders, we found that it was still large enough to tackle the same amount of ingredients, unlike the personal blenders we tested.

At around $100, this blender a great option for entertaining on a budget. The Ninja Professional Countertop Blender is a solid full-sized blender with a large 72-ounce jar capacity and powerful performance. In our Lab testing, it excelled at blending up a milkshake that was smooth with a nice body to it and a soup that was creamy and completely went through the fine-mesh sieve.

While this blender doesn't have as many presets or variable controls like other Ninja blenders, we still found that the high speed did a nice job crushing through ingredients. The very sharp multi-pronged blender blade also requires some extra care when cleaning, but thankfully the remaining removable parts are dishwasher-safe.

Can your personal blender grind up smooth and creamy peanut butter in under three minutes? Well, this personal blender from Ninja certainly can — and does a better job than other Ninja models we tested. The Ninja Foodi Smoothie Maker & Nutrient Extractor is a small workhorse that churned out great testing results for frozen margaritas and smoothies. We especially loved how the margarita was rich and creamy and there was absolutely no grit from the superfine sugar used.

We've tested a lot of personal blenders over the years and this one also surprised us with the amount of presets it offered compared to many personal blenders that only feature a pulse button. This blender offers a lot of versatility in both presets and three different-sized cups. The smoothie-bowl cup also features a built-in tamper, good for ensuring all ingredients are thoroughly incorporated. Keep in mind that this is a personal blender without vents and cannot be used to blend up hot ingredients like soup or warm sauces.

Out of all of the Ninja blenders that we tested, the Ninja Nutri Pro Compact Personal Blender made the best smoothie in Lab testing. We were impressed with how smooth it came out, completely going through the fine-mesh sieve.

What we love even more is that your family doesn't have to decide on enjoying just one smoothie at breakfast time. You can each enjoy your own smoothie in your personal blending cup, perfect for taking on-the-go as well. When we tested, we did have to cut our recipe down to a single serving so that it would fit in the blending cup.

This blender comes with fewer pieces to store, so it's ideal for a small kitchen or even for keeping at your desk for an afternoon pick-me-up. Since this does only come with two cups, we recommend purchasing more cups if you have more people making smoothies at once. All removable pieces are dishwasher-safe.

Only a few picks on this list can be used to make a hot pureed soup and the Ninja Foodi Power Blender & Processor System aced this Lab test. The pureed soup passed through the sieve easily; the result was smooth and creamy yet still retained some pleasant texture. We were also impressed with the thick and smooth margarita it produced with no large pieces of ice remaining. Overall, this a versatile blender whether you're blending hot or cold ingredients.

Easy to assemble, the machine's blender jar quickly locks into place. While the blade is easy to put on and remove, it's very sharp to handle and clean. The blender controls are intuitive and easy to read, thanks to the backlit controls. There are even suction cups on the bottom of the blender base to ensure that the blender stays put no matter how fast it is blending tough ingredients. In our Lab testing, we finely chopped onions and parsley and sliced zucchini with this versatile food processor-blender combo from Ninja. If you're in the market for both a blender and a food processor, here is our solution. It may be more expensive and include more pieces than other models on this list, but if you take advantage of all that this food processor-blender combo has to offer, you can cut down on time in the kitchen.

Besides its food-processing capabilities, we found it to make smooth peanut that didn't overheat the motor as much as other blenders tested. But we did notice while blending tough ingredients that a lot of forceful air comes out of the blender during operation — this may move items on your counter, but doesn't effect your blend. We love that all parts are dishwasher-safe, which is great if you put many of the pieces to use while making dinner.

The Ninja Foodi Power Mixer System is an intuitive piece of kitchen gear boasting both a hand mixer and hand blender. While there are a few pieces to store, it's not as much as other hand blenders we've tested. It comes with a nice recipe booklet with color photos and a three-cup blending cup with a spout for easy pouring as well as a lid. And the "easy glide" beaters are "designed with more surface area for light, fluffy baked goods," according to the brand.

When we made a smoothie in the Lab with this hand blender, it took some pressure, but did work well, resulting in a smoothie with a high Lab score. While the mayo that it produced was of good quality at first, it did start to separate after sitting.

All non-motor parts are top-rack dishwasher safe for easy clean-up.

In the last decade we have tested 11 Ninja blender models to see how they compare in performance, ease of use and cleanability.

• Strawberry-kale smoothie test: To help mimic how a home consumer would use a blender, we made strawberry-kale smoothies and frozen margaritas. For the smoothie, we blended up fresh kale, ice cubes and frozen strawberries using the Ninja's smoothie preset for a minute at high to assess how evenly blended the final product was.

• Frozen margarita test: During Lab testing, we use the same frozen margarita recipe we've been using for decades and strain the final product through a mesh sieve to evaluate whether all ingredients are fully blended and whether each grind or puree is uniform. We also use the same sieve for evaluating smoothies and soups.

• Milkshake test: We blended up a pint of vanilla ice and milk to see how frothy and creamy a milkshake whips up in a Ninja blender or if it ended up curdled and separated instead.

• Peanut butter test: To see how smoothly each blender would churn out peanut butter, we ground a pound of peanut butter using a standardized recipe. After blending was completed, we evaluated its temperature, how it tasted and how easy it was to clean afterwards.

• Broccoli-leek soup test: Many Ninja blender models cannot handle hot ingredients. For those that can, we made a broccoli-leek soup. A blender must have vents in order to safely blend hot ingredients and you should avoid blending hot liquids in a personal blending cup, which could potentially cause burns upon opening.
  

• Mayonnaise test: To assess Ninja's hand blender, we blended a smoothie and made mayonnaise.

• Ease-of-use tests: When testing, we rate the helpfulness of the owner’s manual and evaluate how easy each model is to assemble, use and clean. We also consider how noisy each blender is while operating.

✔️ Type of blender: Ninja makes a variety of different blender types to fit your kitchen and your cooking routine.

• Full-sized: This type of blender is the most common type, great for full-sized recipes and larger families.
• Food processor-blender combo: While this category of blender may be more expensive than a traditional full-sized blender, it's meant to combine two appliances in one. This combo appliance tends to offer more accessories, which means more to store.
• Personal: Great for traveling or storing at your desk for a quick smoothie in between meetings, a personal blender is ideal for smaller families or families in which everyone wants a different smoothie flavor. Keep in mind you cannot puree a soup in this.
• Portable: This type of single-serve blender is also handy for travel, using at the gym or in between classes. This isn't designed for heavy-duty blending, but more suited for some protein powder and frozen fruit. We didn't include one of these on our list because it didn't perform well in our testing.
• Hand blender: For compact storage or traveling, consider a hand blender which can fit in a drawer and be used to blend ingredients in any container of your choosing. Keep in mind the blender results aren't always as even as a traditional style blender.

  ✔️ Functions/presets:

  Depending on the blender, some Ninja models offer a variety of presets and functions, while others only offer the basics. If you prefer to push a smoothie button and let the blender do the work, then look for a model with presets. Another function to look for is a timer if you want to keep track of how long you need to blend for a recipe; some models have this feature, while others don't. Keep in mind that presets and some functions tend to appear only on more expensive models.
  
  ✔️ Accessories: Most Ninja blenders tend to have more included accessories than other blenders we've tested. Most models come with a few personal cups with drinking lids. Newer models also come with accessories like a smoothie-bowl cup for thicker blends or dough hooks for kneading pizza or cookie dough. If you have the space for storage, these accessories can give you even more cooking versatility.
  
  ✔️ Blade style: Since 2013 and up until now, many Ninja blender models come with removable yet very sharp blade assemblies. This makes them easier to clean, but it's important to demonstrate extra care since the blade assembly does not lock in place and could potentially fall out of the blender jar if it is turned upside down. Newer models, personal blenders and the Twisti line of Ninja blenders now feature a more traditional blender-blade assembly. This smaller, traditional style blade assembly screws into the blender cup and isn't as sharp to the touch.

We've found that both blades work well, but the larger assembly can be used with hot ingredients like soups and warm purees and chops very well, while the smaller assembly makes a better smoothie.

The large multi-pronged blade fits in the larger blender pitcher, while the smaller, traditional blender blade styles fit into personal cups or the new TWISTi blender pitcher.

Ninja blenders are broken down into a few different model lines. No one line is better than the other; they just offer different features that may appeal to you more.

• Ninja Foodi: This is the largest Ninja blender line right now, featuring the signature built-in tamper, smoothie-bowl cup and many presets with a speed-variable dial in large full-sized models. They offer an intuitive design for both blender newbies and pros.
• Ninja Professional Plus: This line of Ninja blenders offers fewer presets and a more basic design. Ideal for an individual that knows their way around a blender, how long they want to blend for and what speed would work best for an ingredient, these tend to be cheaper than other lines as well.
  
• Ninja Twisti: Our best overall comes from this line and it's currently the only model in this line. It features the large built-in tamper pitcher and the blade is a smaller, easier-to-clean version compared to other full-sized models.
  
• Ninja Nutri: There aren't too many Nutri models left in the Ninja blender portfolio. The Nutri line focused on nutrient extraction, using its extraction button to blend up juices from fruits and veggies.
• Ninja Blast: This is one of Ninja's newest lines which includes their portable, cordless blender for on-the-go blending.
• Ninja Detect: Another newer line for Ninja and their only line that uses what the manufacturer calls 'BlendSense Technology' to automatically adjust speed and time based on what the blender senses is inside of the blender.
